Welcome to Operation Aware. We are a Tulsa, OK based non-profit organization that equips youth, through prevention education, with the knowledge and skills to make positive life choices. Founded in 1979, the program has grown over the years and we currently serve around 20,000 students every academic year.
The goal of our classes is to provide drug and violence prevention education to children and teens in the classroom from pre-kindergarten through high school. We share a strong, clear message with young people that their choices today about drugs, alcohol and tobacco can have lifelong consequences for their health, safety and wellbeing. We teach students techniques that help them resist negative peer pressure and make positive decisions that move them toward their goals and dreams and away from high risk behaviors. Our results are young people that are equipped with the communication, decision making, problem solving and relationship skills needed to be strong, confident leaders of tomorrow.
Book Operation Aware at Your School - We are taking requests for the first quarter of 2010 - 2011.

Why Operation Aware?
"My students have benefited from your program in immeasurable ways. As a result, I see evidence of them making positive choices and treating their peers with an attitude of mutual respect. They are conscious of their classroom behavior and understand that the choices they are making affect not only them, but those around them….my students now own many tools that will help them reduce their likelihood of becoming a target of violence." Ronia Davison, Milken Educator, NBCT, Muskogee Schools
Additional Teacher Comments "My students really enjoyed the program (and our presenter). One student talked to her mom about what she’s been learning, and her mom quit smoking!"

"My students are better informed about important issues and are equipped to make good choices when faced with certain issues."
