Cultivate Positive Choices with  Rick Couri & Operation Aware was a Success! More than $50,000 raised.

KRMG Newstalk 740’s Rick Couri once again pushed himself to the edge to benefit Operation Aware, and friends of Operation Aware and Rick Couri opened up their hearts and wallets in support of his efforts.

Rick spent three days working at Riverparks, helping them cultivate a place for children to play safely. He laid more than 9,000 pounds of sod, aerated ground and mulched trees during his adventure.

Rick also joined local families for an end of the school year party featuring face painting by students from Victory Christian High School, sandwiches and cookies from QuikTrip and a very special NASCAR with a video game in the trunk.

Rick Couri has been an advocate and fundraiser for OA since 1987. This event is only possible because of the generous support of Rick Couri, our corporate sponsors and hundreds of local residents who understand the value of investing in prevention education.

Rick's Awesome Legacy. . .

Years of dedication to the mission of Operation Aware. Years of sweat, tears and hard work. From sitting in every seat at Skelly Stadium to scuba diving at the Thornton Y pool to painting the Driller at Expo Square, Rick Couri, News Talk 740 KRMG radio personality, has exemplified an incredible commitment to Operation Aware's mission.

Each spring, Rick Couri embarks on a new -- and sometimes crazy -- adventure to raise funds for Operation Aware. Each year, Rick dedicates three days of service to raise awareness and to encourage the Tulsa community to rededicate ourselves to teach kids, through Operation Aware programs, about the dangers of drugs and violence.
