Week 2

Hello again students! We hope you have had a chance to set a goal for the next eight weeks. Maybe you want to get an “A” on a test or score points in your next game. Goals help us stay on our road of life and achieve our dreams.

If you have time before the video, take a moment to think of something good that has happened this week. When I have the chance to teach Operation Aware in person, I love to hear good things that are happening for my students. even when it feels like nothing is going right, there is always something we can find that is positive; this is what we call finding good news. We will practice finding Good News over the next seven weeks.

Week 4

Hello! We hope you had a great week. This week we are back to discuss bullying and what it really looks like. This lesson has so much important information. we hope you will put away any distractions, turn your listening ears on, and be ready to share what questions you have after the lesson. Last week we explored the different types of bullying. Today, we would like to take a deep dive into cyberbullying. We want you to know what to be on the lookout for, what to do if it happens to you, and some helpful tips to be safe when using the internet. Today, we will begin our discussion about drugs.  We will categorize drugs and talk about the differences.

Today, we will take a closer look at nicotine and how it affects our bodies. This topic can be hard because many of us know or love someone who uses nicotine. Using nicotine does not make them bad people, but it can damage their health. You are in control of your health, and we want you to know this information, so you will know the risks when you are presented with the choice to try a nicotine product.

For our final lesson we will discuss the importance of being drug free. We even have a drug free pledge you can take alone or with your class. As always, we have our question link below and a link for your post survey. Choosing to be drug free helps you stay on your Road of Life and be a healthier student at your school.
